Food & Farming

The problem

Producing food takes land, water and fertiliser and causes about a quarter of all emissions. Food that is wasted carries the same footprint.

Who may be affected

Farmers with thin margins, people who cannot afford healthy food, and communities affected by fertiliser pollution in water.

26%

of global greenhouse gas emissions come from food production
